学名：Vallaris glabra
别名：面包花
英文名：Bread Flower / Soniya / Buttercup vine
马来文名：Kesidang / Kerak nasi / Bunga tongkin
特征：原产于印度尼西亚的爪哇。常绿木质藤本，叶对生，宽卵形至倒卵形，具透明腺体，全缘，背面被短柔毛，茎长达5米，具乳汁。伞房状聚伞花序腋生，通常有花3朵，花白色，有香味，似香兰叶或米煮熟了的香味。马来文花名：kerak nasi意思是“烧焦的饭层”，也就是锅巴，据说花香如锅巴，也有人觉得比较接近香兰叶（斑兰叶）的香味。花开吸引蝴蝶和太阳鸟。植株供药用，可治血吸虫病。

ReplyDeleteThis is Cally, we have similar background (Malaysian from Johor & working in Singapore) & same thought over Chinese language, & last but not least, i like photography, i still have Nikon FM2 (not digital) & wide angler in my collection. i maintenance my chinese standard by reading chinese novel & speak as much as possible.
I was searching about Bread flower care & propagation caused i bought the plant & have it in my garden. That is how i came across your blog, i even have 树仔菜/马尼菜 in my garden, think this veggie is common among Malaysia.
